Tottenham are making further progress in the market as they seek to get their sixth, seventh and eighth signings over the line for Ange Postecoglou.
First up, young Blackburn Rovers defender Ashley Phillips is now set to arrive in north London imminently for an initial £2m that could rise to £6.5m in add-ons.
But there has also been a breakthrough on the arrival of Wolfsburg’s Micky van de Ven.
Personal terms are already agreed and a fee is also close to being finalised with the Bundesliga club worth in the region of £30m.
Tottenham are also in advanced talks to sign Rosario Central striker Alejo Veliz.
The 19-year-old has scored 11 goals in 23 matches in the Argentina Primera Division after netting eight times in 32 outings in 22.
Rosario are ready to shake hands on a deal for the end of 2023 meaning Veliz could arrive in the January transfer window.
