Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing RB Leipzig star Josko Gvardiol in the summer, though may be forced to offload key assets to secure his signature.
The Croatia international penned a new deal with Leipzig in the summer, though that has not deterred interest from several Premier League clubs. Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all keen on the 20-year-old, with speculation surrounding his future growing after his eye-catching World Cup campaign with Croatia.
Journalist Christian Falk reports that Tottenham also hold a strong interest in Gvardiol, though feels that Antonio Conte’s side could rely on selling Harry Kane to fund a bid.
He told CaughtOffside: “I think there will be some activity in the summer and here’s the connecting point to the Kane rumours: Tottenham are still very keen on Gvardiol, so Bayern are banking on some movement there, as Tottenham need money to buy Gvardiol.
“They’ll have to sell Kane if he doesn’t extend his contract; if they can agree a deal with Bayern, or Real Madrid perhaps, there will then be money for Gvardiol.”
