The Queen may need to snub attendance to her eldest granddaughter’s big day to avoid the virus. The elderly are most at risk of the illness, and the Queen, being 93, will be keen not to expose herself to COVID-19.
The Queen has already canceled several public engagements over the next couple of weeks as the coronavirus pandemic continues to worsen.
A palace statement read: “As a sensible precaution and for practical reasons in the current circumstances, changes are being made to the Queen’s diary commitments in the coming weeks.
“In consultation with the medical household and government, Her Majesty’s forthcoming visits to Cheshire and Camden will be rescheduled,” the Palace statement continued.
